Fold 03 — Why Yonderfold

What makes the difference

Neutral facilitation

No side is taken. The facilitator holds the agenda and the clock, not a position. Families leave with their own conclusions, not ours.

Written records throughout

Every session produces a neutral minute. Nothing is left to memory or misinterpretation. The record belongs to the family.

One question at a time

The atlas approach opens one panel at a time. Complexity is handled without overwhelm, moving at the family's pace.

Private and contained

Nothing is filed externally. No third party receives your family's information. The process stays between the people in the room.

Practitioner referrals on hand

When formal advice is the right next step, we provide a directory of registered professionals in the Klang Valley — legal, financial, and beyond.

Flexible timing

Sessions run in person at Bangsar or online. Evening and weekend slots are available so the whole family can participate.

Fold 05 — Common Questions

Frequently asked

What exactly happens in a session?
A facilitator opens with a written agenda the family agreed on beforehand. Each person has equal time to speak. The facilitator does not advise or recommend — they keep the conversation on track and take a neutral written minute. At the end, the family reads the minute together and confirms it.
Is this legal or financial advice?
No. Yonderfold is a facilitation and communication service. We do not provide legal, financial, medical, or any other regulated advice. When those services are the right next step, we refer families to registered professionals in the appropriate field.
Who should attend a session?
Whoever the family decides is relevant to the question at hand. Sessions work with two people or ten. We ask that participants be adults and that everyone attends by their own choice. The agenda is shared in advance so each person can prepare.
How long does each session take?
Each facilitated session is two hours. For the Sequenced Conversations Pack and the Atlas Programme, those two hours are spread across six sessions over three or six months respectively.
What is the difference between the Pack and the Atlas Programme?
The Sequenced Conversations Pack covers six facilitated sessions with written records. The Atlas Programme adds clerical document assembly — we help your family gather, index, and organise its own documents into a bound register and a dated timeline. That register can then be handed to a solicitor, accountant, or other professional for the next stage.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can run in person at our Bangsar Utama premises in Kuala Lumpur, or fully online via video call. For the Atlas Programme, document assembly work is done at the same address or, for certain tasks, can be coordinated remotely.
What happens with the documents in the Atlas Programme?
We only work with documents the family provides and chooses to include. We assemble, index, and return them in a bound pack. A digital copy is placed on storage the family controls. We do not retain copies after handover and do not share any documents externally.
